The Indiana State University 临床心理学 Doctoral 程序 is based on a practitioner-scientist model.  The primary goal of the 程序 is to prepare individuals to become competent professional psychologists through balanced training in clinical competencies and research, to contribute to the science of psychology.

The 程序 has  been APA-accredited since 1985. Our students are required to complete a dissertation, thus we place somewhat more emphasis on research skills than do some 小组.D. 项目. 学生 interested in a doctoral 程序 that provides rigorous training in clinical skills as well as research opportunities may be particularly suited for our 程序.

We have approximately 30-35 students on campus each year (1st-4th year students, 6-8 per cohort) and 6-8 students on internship.   Our students come from a variety of backgrounds and from many different parts of the US.  Almost all students have a bachelor's degree in psychology and typically 1-2 students each year enter with a master's degree or having completed some graduate coursework.  Completion of 程序 requirements require a minimum of four years of full-time, on-campus study and completion of a one-year internship in the fifth year.
